Meet the Blogger ✨

The Tag:

I wasn’t tagged by anyone to do this, but I’ve been meaning to do a “Meet the Blogger” for a while, and a tag just gives me the questions to answer.

The Rules:

  • Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
  • Use the same questions from the tag.
  • Tag the original creator and the blogger who tagged you – I wasn’t tagged but I saw T.K. @ Genie in a Novel post hers a little while ago and I thought it looked like fun!

Who is your all-time favorite book character?

Ooh this is a tough one! I’m very torn and I don’t think I can pick just one, so here’s a little list in no particular order HAHA

  1. Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan – one of the first protagonists I really loved and connected with, literally the sweetest and his relationship with Annabeth is to DIE for, tell me any other character who turned down being an IMMORTAL GOD for their significant other!?
  2. Poppy Balfour, From Blood and Ash Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout – I adore her, she’s strong, brave, headstrong and a curvy QUEEN! Representation is incredibly important to me and seeing a beautiful, fierce character with my body type is incredible.
  3. Will Herondale, from The Infernal Devices, because that was one of my ultimate favourite book series and I love Will so much. His love for both Jem and Tessa made my heart so happy and that ending and epilogue was SO PAINFUL ugh

If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare! I could honestly read these over and over again and I would never get sick of them.

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

I don’t know if it’s unpopular per se, but I personally don’t like annotating my books, or writing in them or anything like that! I’ve only ever put a pen to a book once, and that only me highlighting my favourite quotes in my second copy of the Six of Crows duology. Nothing against people who choose to annotate their own books, but I just couldn’t do it to mine HAHA.

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

Owning a million physical books and still mostly reading on my Kindle because of conveneince eek.

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

Wrath from Kingdom of the Wicked bc um, hello 😍
I’d bring Wrath to anything at all.

What made you decide to start a book blog?

I actually started this way back in 2016, I’d just moved to Australia and wanted something to occupy my time! I didn’t have many friends who enjoyed reading the same type of books I did, and just wanted to share my thoughts on the books I read with people who liked them too.

What about reading and books do you love the most?

Escapism HAHA, it’s just so nice to pick up a book and be instantly transported into a new world with new characters to learn about and explore! I also love the friends I’ve made through blogging and bookstagram.

What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?

I’m currently in my fourth year of a Bachelor of International Business/Laws! I’d love to become either a commercial lawyer or a lawyer specialising in International Law hehe.

What are some book recommendations that became your favorites/obsessions?

The entire bookstagram community recommended I read From Blood and Ash, and WOW I am SO happy I read them!! I adore them and I can’t wait for the fourth book to come out 😍

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

I am, and will always be, a Percy Jackson and the Olympians stan.

Who do you tag?

If you’re reading this, I’m tagging you!

  1. I’m a simple person, I see Percy Jackson.
    I hit the like button.
Percy Jackson and the Heroes Of Olympus is my comfort series. The series has many lovable characters.
And yes, even though I’m an adult now, I still ship Percabeth. 😅💕
